  • This torrent can not be downloaded directly and used with your torrent client. After a little poking around this is what I found:
    /********************************************************************************************************/

Why do I get a "Not authorized (xx h) - READ THE FAQ!" error? (off until further notice)

From the time that each new torrent is uploaded to the tracker, there is a period of time that some users must wait before they can download it.
This delay in downloading will only affect users with a low ratio, and users with low upload amounts.

Ratio below 0.50 and/or upload below 5.0GB delay of 48h
Ratio below 0.65 and/or upload below 6.5GB delay of 24h
Ratio below 0.80 and/or upload below 8.0GB delay of 12h
Ratio below 0.95 and/or upload below 9.5GB delay of 06h

"And/or" means any or both. Your delay will be the largest one for which you meet at least one condition.

In your particular case, your total uploaded of 0 GB implies a delay of 48 hours. (Even if your ratio is '---'.)

This applies to new users as well, so opening a new account will not help. Note also that this works at tracker level, you will be able to grab the .torrent file itself at any time.

N.B. Due to some users exploiting the 'no-delay-for-seeders' policy we had to change it. The delay now applies to both seeding and leeching. So if you are subject to a delay and get the files from some other source you will not be able to seed them until the delay has elapsed.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3:13 AM

  • Let me join the row of people asking for a standard not-torrent way to download the stuff. Torrent does not work for me.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1:05 PM

  • I tried downloading for days with no success. My BitTorrent is working so it is certainly not on my side.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 8:17 PM

  • how make a virtual HD I d'ont no what do with VMware. I have problem with password at start vmware in Windows 2000 Prof. Tanks Bye bye

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3:32 PM

  • The posted link appears to have some enormously complex system of making downloading a torrent into a colossal pain in the butt. I reccomend using the.

http://developer.kde.org/~binner/vmware/ link, it worked like a charm for me.

  • The above mentioned links are for SUSE 10.0 NOT 10.1, supposedly available here. The dickweed who posted the VM appliance with such restrictive bittorrent requirements has some screwed up notions about getting his application noticed.

  • hey assholes, fix the torrent, dumbasses!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 2:07 AM

  • The torrent file works. You might have to add .torrent after the file name, but otherwise the issues have been corrected.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 6:05 AM

  • ...these .torrent will not work, damn!!!

  • Try http://developer.kde.org/~binner/vmware/ as somebody wrote above. Its Suse 10.0, but you dont have to wait for this torrent forever.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 8:30 AM

  • I will try 10.0 I guess, bit torrent is not for me.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 2:57 PM

  • http://developer.kde.org/~binner/vmware/ now has 10.1.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3:00 PM

  • is there a difference between the download and just using a suse 10.1 disk?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9:24 AM

  • pleeeease forget about those torrents!! give us a straight DL!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 6:33 PM

  • don't know how to use torrents clients; can't setup; don't need it; I need the SUSE 10.1 VM; can you put it somewhere for normal download? FTP/ HTTP?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 7:01 PM

  • As has already been said, you can download the Suse 10.1 VM file using normal http from http://developer.kde.org/~binner/vmware/

You DON'T need to use a torrent system to download.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 8:47 AM

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12:05 PM

  • Well Iused the normal http link to download suse 10.1 vm and after 2 days of downloading it ended up being a corrupt file. So that was real sweet. I haven't had any luck with bit torrent option either. ckstewart

  • Torrent seems to be working fine for me. At 1.7%.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 5:45 PM

  • Fine, 100%. Use 24/7 downloaders! BTW Suse feels a lot like Windows and lacks packages; now I'm not going to give it a try on a real partition, but it was fun to click around in the virtual one.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3:13 AM

  • Does the appliance at http://developer.kde.org/~binner/vmware/

    have the vmtools installed?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 8:49 AM

  • The torrent works, but the VM doesn't work with VMware Workstation 4.5.2

You should mention this on your Website, so people like me can save time and money by not downloading the appliance.

    Regards,

  • *******************
    ATTENTION ATTENTION
    *******************

Kaspersky reports a "Trojan Downloader JS Agent" on the Website with the torrent file.

Of course that has nothing to do with the torrent file itself...

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3:35 AM

  • I installed from scratch and created my own VM. I don't have VMtools but al works fine.
Sinca all I have is VMPlayer, I used EasyVMX to create the VM: http://www.easyvmx.com/
    Easy and fast!

  • TORRENT is SLOW GARBAGE.

broadband users should not waste there time with TORRENT downloads.

It's like the dial-up days were you would start the download and go do something else.
